I played Bar Trivia for the first time in 2006 when I was living in Charleston, South Carolina. My brother and I were meeting friends who ended up being really late. Our friends showed up towards the end of the game, but by that time, we didn’t need them! My brother and I ended up killing it and winning the game! We got our gift certificate and, consequently, free wings and beers. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked on Trivia.
I’ve always had a thirst for knowledge, and as a writer for Last Call, I love the fact that I’m constantly learning new things through my writing and researching. I love that all of the so-called useless information I’ve acquired over the years can be applied to a job that I’m so passionate about. It’s a proud and humbling experience to walk into a bar and hear the host asking Trivia questions you’ve written. I mean, who wouldn’t want to get paid to write about the movies and TV shows they’ve watched, the music they’ve listened to, the books they’ve read, the places they’ve been, or the sports they’ve followed?
I feel blessed and honored that I’ve been able to watch this company grow into what it’s become today. Outside the office, I try to enjoy life to its fullest! Whether I’m at home binge watching movies and TV or traveling cross-country to visit friends and family or watching the game at my local pub or dancing in the dessert for a week, I try to be spontaneous and adventurous as much as possible. I also love the beach, and not just because it’s my last name! Give me an IPA I’ve never tried, pair it with a delicious meal, and surround me with friends and family – that’s my Heaven. I love life, and I love being a writer, Burner, foodie, movie buff, adventurer, and all around good person.
Oh yeah, I’m also a really good swimmer!
